First, fill out THIS FORM so we can schedule an introductory phone call or facetime meeting.

Here we determine your vision for the piece, discuss the pet, and any deadlines or expectations. To proceed with your custom art piece from here you will be asked to pay a 50% deposit via zelle, paypal or venmo.

These are water based gouache paintings. I refrain from fixitives to ensure the richest colors so all paintings must be held under glass to preserve quality. I prefer custom floating frames for my work as I paint to the edge of the paper. This framing style ensures none of the painting is cut off from matting as the matte will be behind the painting not in front of it.

Once your framing preference is settled (cost to be included in the final price) I will then add you to the calendar and send a short artist-client agreement form by email to be signed and returned. Then we get started.

I work from photos. Good lighting, close up of fur and eyes, and other images of personal landscapes, material items or personal details you want included, can be sent via email or text. I will also have you fill out the form above to answer questions to help me find the fun, unique and relevant details to include that tell the personal story most important to you. If you have lots of images on social media I can also explore themes to include from there.

I start to block the drawing loosely in pencil. I paint to the edge, paper size 12 x 16, so the drawing will reflect this. I will snap photos and text them to you so that we can agree with the composition and also to garner any last minute inspirations that might arise from first viewing. I’ll send a few progress photos (unless you prefer to be surprised) as I outline, block and start to shape and layer the painting. From here I will send an invoice for the remaining 50% due and confirm the expected timeline. No changes can be made after this point.

Once your painting is complete, depending on the framing choice, I will arrange for either a local pick up or ship to you via UPS or USPS. If you have chosen professional framing and to have me select the materials likely this will delay the delivery by up to 8 weeks.

Artist maintains and owns 100% use of the image. This includes using the image for the sale of fine art prints or for any promotional use, no scans provided. Commissions include 1 giclee print at the size requested with additionals at 50% off.

Client maintains and owns 100% of the original artwork and the image. The image cannot be used by the artist other than for promotional use agreed upon between the artist and the client. High resolution scans provided. The artist will be acknowledged anywhere the artwork is displayed or used.
